The Neighborhood Watch Kickoff Event Is…
• A free event organized by a group of volunteers
• A delicious BBQ
• A chance to meet your neighbors while the weather is still nice
• An opportunity to learn about the Neighborhood Watch program 
• Full of fun: kids activities, Lions game shown,
and giveaways donated by local businesses, such as:

Neighborhood Watch Is…
• A crime prevention program which enlists the active participation of residents in cooperation with local police to prevent & reduce crime
• Residents not only knowing each other, but taking the time to care about each other & work together in a program of mutual assistance
• Crime prevention education & the implementation of important home & personal security strategies to fight crime in our community in the most effective way—before it begins
• A means to warn criminals that they are in an active Neighborhood Watch community & that neighbors are watching out for each other
