In the last couple of weeks there has been several reports of people breaking into cars and houses in the Brownstone Community. Residents affected have informed local authorities and additional police officers will be monitoring our neighborhood.
It is important that you lock the doors on any vehicles in your driveway. In addition, be sure that your service doors (to your garage or etc..) remain locked.
Those were the two methods used in previous break-in/thefts and so we urge you to be diligent in your efforts to secure your house/cars.
The steering committee has been talking to local law enforcement agencies and are looking to establish a Neighborhood Watch. If you would like more information about this, please contact Sheryl Stapert. Her information is on the contact us page.
Please keep your eyes open and be sure to report any suspicious activity as soon as possible.
